We will discuss what has been happening to inspire your phone call, what your last straw was, why you want change, if you have support from family and friends, and if you are ready to implement change.

Organizing Consultation
We begin wherever you need help the most. During our first consultation we will overview your home and discuss it. You will tell me what is and isn’t working in your home and current living situation. Then we will dig in where you feel the most stress, usually in an area that will give impact to your home. I will share my expertise and partner with you throughout the journey of organization. We will talk through past successes and how you learn best. Together we will create systems tailor made specifically for you and your family. Many of my clients have volumes of organizing materials, they know organizing principles. Their difficulty comes in implementing the principles into their lives. That is my expertise. I will teach you organizing principles if they are new to you and show you how to apply them to your life and home. I will also share little known secrets from a professional.

Product Purchases
I encourage all my clients to purchase their own products. I will share tips on where to easily locate items and where you can find options. If you are unable to do your own shopping for any reason, I would be happy to shop on your behalf. I charge you exactly what I pay for each item.

Needs Assessment Package
For the do-it-yourself organizer. This is done in your home and takes about 3 hours on average for an entire home, less for a single room or specific area. Assessing your entire home is often the most helpful for my clients. An overall evaluation can give you insight as to why different areas may not work as you would like and tips for improvement. I bring a fresh set of eyes and may view things as you never have before. We will walk through your home one room at a time. Viewing all your items and spaces will help me to better assess your home and come up with the best possible solution or choice of solutions to meet your family’s needs. I will ask some questions to help me understand the needs of your family. We will discuss what is and isn’t working in each room. I will be writing notes and will take digital photographs (only with your permission). These notes and photo’s help me with my overall appraisal of your home. I can often give multiple options for an area and re-purpose items that you already have. The photos will not be shown to anyone else. They are merely a tool I use and will be deleted upon your request. I will share my notes with you and offer organizing tips along the way. After evaluating the entire home, we will discuss your vision and goals. I will give suggestions as to what could be done to improve the flow and feel of the home. The steps will be clear, simple, and easy to follow, and fall in line with the goals you have conveyed. We will discuss my signature steps to organizing and how to use them effectively. We will determine a starting place and discuss your available time commitment and resources. I will write an action plan and e-mail it to you within a week. I may include floor-plan diagrams if furniture needs to be purchased, removed or just re-located. This is a great tool for the do it yourself client that just needs direction. WARNING: If you have read multiple organizing books and are familiar with organizing principles and have not been successful implementing them on your own, this service may not be for you. You will be best off with an organizing consultation. This is a detailed plan on how to organize your specific space. This is best suited for those who have had past success with organizing and want a fresh perspective from a professional’s viewpoint.

I would love to share my passion for organizing with your group. I speak to mothers groups, MOPS, church groups and others. Topics include: Time Management, Organizing Your Home Office, Kitchen Organization as well as Meal Planning and Grocery Help.

If you are in need of other services such as cleaning, painting, decorating, carpentry, electrician, or plumber, I would be happy to give you a referral. Note: each service is independent of Organize to Optimize LLC. I can not guarantee their work, or your satisfaction.
Payment is expected at the end of each session by cash, money order, or check. 48 hour notice of cancellation in required for all sessions. A $75 service fee will be billed if our appointment is not attended. The service area is within a 30 minute drive from Commerce Township, Michigan. If you are outside the service area special arrangements may be made for an additional fee.
